You’ve dialed into the Shaman Drums Podcast, brought to you by Thunder Valley Drums, the world’s only source for Lightning Struck Drums and other sacred items made for your spiritual journey.
I’m so excited because I’m kicking off several new projects, beginning with this new series that I call Spiritual Bodybuilding Workouts. This and future installments will be offered from time to time and will be short and sweet suggestions of some yummy new spiritual aerobics that I hope you’ll find useful in building some new spiritual muscle.
It is a winding path that spiritual seekers follow, and sometimes, we can use some encouragement to take the next step. Really, this isn’t all that complicated. If you are ready to explore potential new ways to free yourself to the passion and enjoyment of life through a stronger connection with who you really are, then you're 90% there!
It's that other 10% needed to build and tone your spiritual muscle that requires some time, sustained curiosity, open-mindedness and commitment. But—you're worth it!
Okay, well, it's taken me 60 years to get these things. You're smarter, so you'll probably get it in 10 minutes.
Before I get started, though, I’d like to send you a big hug if you’ve been in touch in the past several weeks—you know who you are! And here are some others… Wolfsheart and Big City Indians in Austria, Liz along the shore of Lake Ontario, Lynne-Sue-Bill-Cole and Laree in Louisville, Rich, Stephanie, Michelle and Barack in the Nation’s Capitol, Rob and a host of others in Virginia, Christine in Oregon, Kaveh Kahn and Little Spring in Iran, and Yann, somewhere in Europe! And many more! Including you! Thanks to all—I love to correspond and network with such special people.
Now for the first workout—An easy one: Go Into Nature
While we tend to define ourselves in part by our modern lifestyles, the fact is that our true nature is nature. If you will unplug from the make-believe world once a day or at least once a week and quietly go into nature, you will discover an amazing thing— life isn't about your ego. Nature is about being, and it will not acknowledge you when you are in it since you are a part of it. Do you acknowledge the presence of your little toe every time you take a step? It's just there as part of you, and you don't pay it much attention.

I’ll have more suggestions for spiritual workouts from time to time in the podcast, but we also keep a steady flow of energy advice going on the new blog, MySpiritCare.com . And, of course, right here on the blog where spirituality moves at the speed of love, The Shaman Drums 2.0 Podcast and Blog, found at blog.naturalshamandrums.com
Thanks to all the musicians and providers who made their wonderful compositions available today. I also want to send a big thanks to Wolfsheart and Big City Indians over in Austria. They’ve come out with a new album, The Call of the Canyons, featuring Wolfsheart’s beautiful flute, which provided the focus of today’s music.
See ya' next time on the Shaman Drums 2.0 Podcast!
