TVD's Top Dog? er... Action Hero? uh...

I had some fun in the past couple of weeks during idle time, and mentioned one such instance in the Summer Newsletter (all links open in a new window). But I'm expanding on it here a bit.

It involved a daydream taking me to an avocational interest, and from there to experimenting with a design for an appropriate Thunder Valley Drums Action Figure!

Yes, I love old comic books, (you already know that if you've read "The Adventures of Malinda Maeko" on my Website), so I thought it was high time to renew a favored hero from yesteryear and put him on the site and blog.

But then another idea struck me, and it involves a living, breathing action figure. Briefly, here's his story:

He wandered into our place about a year ago at a time when he was on the run. He looked to have been abused, as bedraggled and terrified a refugee as I’ve ever seen. Matted fur, an open wound, darting eyes, emaciated.

Well, that was then. Nowadays, he has claimed the household and is the master of the domain! And I started wondering if that was qualification enough to have him serve as the TVD Action Hero.

But I couldn't choose. So I put them together and will let you decide on which, or both, you may prefer. The one figure is from the old comic (circa 1940s), "Lightning," and the other is of our visitor, whose given name from day one has been "Flash."

So, what do you think?

PS: Here's a link to a very cool comics site in the UK. It's easy to join, then you have access to hundreds of old comics that you can download! goldenagecomics.co.uk/index.php?cid=1107 This one takes you to the "Lightning" series.
